The environment outside is clean, picturesque. Inside the store, has that old world charm, with a wholesome appearance. Kitchen area is unblemished. The employees are welcoming and are unfailingly polite, and reflects the rare level of hospitality only found in this eatery. They are obviously committed to ensuring that Short Stop customers are satisfied with their purchase and experience there. Customers are provided with fast service and affordable prices. The food is well tailored to your liking. No one is made to feel uncomfortable. Everyone is treated the same, no Class or Color Distinctions. That makes your buying experience more pleasurable. Buy with Confidence, and enjoy your meal.

Whenever you find yourself near the Saints Football facility or after a baby cakes game, you can do no wrong by coming to this unassuming po boy shop.
You go up to the counter, order your po boy, get your drinks and chips and once you get your po boy, go up and pay. It may take a while, but the food is soo worth waiting for.
I always get the fried chicken po boy with cheese dressed. It may take a while to get to me, but with some Zapps bbq chips and two Barqs rootbeers, you are talking about the meal of meals for me! Whenever I get a chance and I am in the area, I will always stop by. -

I use to eat at Short Stop Poboys when they use to be in Kenner years ago and then I moved away for over 20 years. I have always said I was going to try them again but always forgot to stop by when I was looking for Poboys in the area. Bad mistake. I stop by after work this week and must say that nothing has changed except for the location. The Poboy was just as good as I remember and wanted to slap myself for forgetting about this place.
There is a vast menu to choose from and you can't go wrong with anything off the menu. The staff is super friendly and very courteous. There is a large sit in eating area and also a drive thru window for people on the run.
I had the king sized shrimp fully dressed and could only eat half of the sandwich because they put so many shrimp on their Poboys.
This is a highly recommended spot. -

3.5 stars for me. So a friend of mine is a local to NOLA and recommended this place as a final lunch stop prior to heading back home. I had the crawfish po boy with a cup of gumbo and my friend had the shrimp po boy. We actually both wanted the oyster po boy bit they were out. The sandwhich was just ok. Not nearly the level of flavor I had hoped as I had to add a bunch of hot sauce. The gumbo was good and filling just not I gotta have more good. The staff were very friendly and overall a good experience.

Wow, that was a very good Po-Boy. The PB came loaded with Beef and fixins, or as they say in New Orleans, "Dressed". I usually like pickles when I order, "Dressed" but could have been left off by accident. Bread was ok, which most New Orleanians will tell you makes or breaks the sandwich. I am also used to sliced Beef and not chopped. Gravy was thin but made the sandwich nice and sloppy as it should have. I also had a side of Onion Rings which were very good. All in all I will definitely be back, most likely today lol. I feel you what, a 9'' Po-Boy and a side of Onion Rings for around $8.00? You can't beat it.
